Tried to watch TV this evening. For one reason - I had really nothing to do.
Ooooh my god, I can't imagine HOW people can watch it! Stupid pointless serials without any histrionism and subject. Disgusting "entertaining" shows. And commercial is another subject! I think its creators are hard-drugs addicted. The only way for me to watch it is to close my eyes and turn off the sound.
I think "Culture" channel is the best. It's a little bit boring (I don't know why they speak so slowly always) but without commercial and stupidity.
And news channel. Our city has been shown... Not so long ago at night illegally the next monument of architecture in the center of Ekaterinburg was destroyed. Our famous Russian band "Chaif" (they are from Ekaterinburg) called the citizens "to come to the ruins of this house and recollect the old Ekaterinburg". Though this action wasn't allowed by our local government, people came and put flowers on the ruins.
It's not the first case of destroying old buildings of 19th century, they just interfere to build new ones out of glass and concrete. You know, such skyscrapers... It's really odd to see little dilapidated wooden house near the huge shining skyscraper. Only a few of this old places are saved and restored. Our city will become in aquarium soon with all this soulless glassy buildings.
So, Ekaterinburg has shown itself at a disadvantage in a nationwide... Heh, right before the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) summit.
May be I'll tell you about it (summit) too. It's such an interesting topic, haha.
