There was a good segment on today's Keith Olberman's show today on MSNBC about the news that was released today that former defense secretary Donald
Rumsfeld was putting religious quotations on presidential daily briefings on the war, basically framing the war as another Crusade. Then talk turns a little bit to how the right uses religion to manipulate people, in this case
Americans, into supporting war, blindly thinking we can do no wrong, etc.

The following segment is also good.
I don't even know which is more disturbing - the way the right uses religion as a justification to wage wars and get support from Christians, or the fact that people actually believe their pathetic lies. And then they wonder where Arabs get this crazy idea that Americans are in war against Islam.

Yeah, it's really weird that the right can't see their hypocrisy (most likely the leaders and most media pundits are purposefully misleading the right
without much conviction in what they say, though I'm sure plenty do believe their insanity, but for the self proclaimed republican voter who can't see
through these lies, illogical ideas, and manipulations by their party, it's just really sad).
Also, see the last segment on yesterday's show where the new leader of the republican party is trying to claim that gay marriage will hurt small businesses (in an effort to try and get more people against gay marriage). Fucking lunatics. Sean |

I know, I cannot believe that they constantly use religion as their Craft-trade tool.....well, for nearly everything.
I mean that is why the Republican party will never gain any new, educated people....unless
they are a stout evangelical themselves....or a Redneck...or Both . (kind of
funny how that works out)
I know, I mean America was founded by people that were trying to escape religious persecution; but now, the religious will persecute everyone else, unless they bow to "their" ideals. Does not sound like a Democracy to me.

Wow... gay marriage threatens small businesses?!
This Steele guy keeps making one absurd statement after another. I stumbled upon a clip where he declares that "the era of apologizing for republican mistakes of the past is now officially over; that the time for trying to fix or focus on the past has ended." I mean, like that ever happened. |
