I really hope that Sean's post is carefully read this time, so that those who have been on the board and seen these statements in the past can finally understand WHY filesharing hurts. This discussion is good, however, in that it actually proves our point from the last discussion on this topic, where we said that people DO use youtube to listen to music and now we see first hand that this is true (although the statistics in that thread that also showed that people use youtube to listen to music, should have sufficed).

Ultimately, people should have the ability to earn money from the creation of their music (not only touring or merchandise, which are not huge money makers, anyway), when it is so widely consumed and appreciated!!!

It is unfortunate that too few people understand this important concept!!! Years ago, Sean said there would be many negative ramifications if people continued to steal music from artists, and he was right!! The music industry is struggling. Artists cannot pay for tours. CD and overall music sales have continued to decrease, and now there are few music magazines, stores to buy CDs, or good support for new artists. In the end, those that proclaimed that they "love" and "need" music have been the ones to destroy it!
