To clarify, I am not offended by porn or the nude human body, I simply wont support an industry that exploits the models, many of whom have issues that force them into such a life style.
This is something I wrote a while back from an old thread in the General Discussion area form the thread Opinion on Porn:

First, read this, from ABC news (NOTE:link now gone, but his was a major news story that detailed the incredible abuse, expoitation and negativity in the porn industry- truly sad).

The underlying problems in porn are that its a multibillion dollar business (a $10 billion business — bigger than the NFL, the NBA and Major League Baseball combined), based on exploiting people, most of whom have mental issues which cause them to get into the business to begin with, and a business that is often run by not-so-ethical people resulting in some abuse, or at least unfairness, and of COURSE lots of manipulation. Its like the perfect storm; you have people desperate for money or attention, and a business willing and ready to exploit that need (moreso than most other businesses, and also that has less oversight, or willingness for people to help, due to its "stigmas", kind of like sweat shop workers or something- with no one really caring about the workers' rights so no one does anything about it), feeding their need, and that has an endless demand (and endless supply with so much abuse and dysfunction producing whacked out people with no education, thus no future). Solve THOSE problems, and you'll solve the problems in porn. Though I think if you solve those problems you'd likely have lots less people willing to get into porn, and if people were actually educated to the downside and were concerned for others, lots less money being made because people wouldn't be supporting such a destructive industry that exploits people with mental issues or produces such negativity. The few good stories people may have shared here are far outweighed by the overall negativity of the porn industry. Ask anyone who used to be in it (or is IN it, you'll likely hear more sadness than true happiness).

Also, so many kids want to model and in their attempt at this get sidetracked, due to many reasons (money, drugs, etc), into the "adult modeling" world, which isn't their first choice. This kind of luring of people into that world through a manufactured obsession on ego, on needing attention, vanity, is epidemic in our country.

Being in LA (porn producing capital of the world) and in a band that draws an audience, I've run across countless people either in porn, who are strippers, work in dungeons, (and even those who "fetish model") and 100% of them were moderately to extremely messed up in the head (drugs, schizophrenic, dysfunctionally immature, abuse issues, etc, etc). Sure, maybe there are some normal well adjusted people in porn (though standards for judgment do vary, and they are likely in the minority), but its an industry that portrays itself as positive in order to make money and also attracts unbalanced people to participate; people who are desperate for attention and are then exploited for little pay compared to the huge profits made, and exploited due to the mental issues they have which make them want to get involved in such an industry, or need such shallow and empty attention. To me this makes the industry as it is questionable, to say the least. It perpetuates these problems rather than solves them, sells a false image if itself, and uses people who more often than not possess mental problems to make huge, mega profits that the "talent" does not share in. Not that money is the cure to anything, but it shows the off balance treatment and the willingness (thus desperation, even if they don't see it as such) of the "talent" to be exploited just for a little attention (and many of these people often can't distinguish between positive and negative attention- just look around the internet, all you see are countless websites devoted to people plastering their pictures all over the place but offering nothing else- people who feed off attention- kids who want to "model". Some are tomorrow's porn "talent". And that world, in large part, is not very positive).
