oh, today is the 1 of July, and i finally have a vacation!!! 20 days without work!!! but...i'm ill..i have a temperature, and i feel no good...so i think that all my vacation i will lie on my bed...

a little guy in the bathroom welcomed me back Arizona style within 30 minutes of being home. Scorpions -yuck! (it's facing down). I captured it in a cup
and free'd it outside. The little orange ones are the poisonous kind.

That thing looks huge!!!
I remember the little tiny orangey-yellow ones used to always get into my tack room and hide under saddle blankets. Scorpions (and rattlesnakes) were the main reason I hated Arizona. Beside the heat, that is. Not sure where in Arizona you are, if close to Tucson, go to the Desert Museum and see the different critters they have there, the Vinegaroon (whip scorpion-I believe) is absolutely disgusting. They're so mean, they'll chase you (they have them in California too) Jenn |

Brrrrr....scorpions!
I'm so glad we don't have those here. Or any kind of poisonous spiders, insects etc. We only have ONE poisonous snake and it's not even deadly and usually keeps away from people. 
It's so weird to be back in the city again. I went to my uncle's summer house for a couple of weeks. The first week was absolutely horrible- it rained ALL the time and I just sat indoors, doing crossword puzzles and reading magazines. The other week was good- very sunny and warm, sometimes even hot. Managed to get a small sunburn and I must admit, I haven't been so tanned in 4 or 5 years. I'm not a big fan of tanning because it seems like a waste of time but when you're painting the house or raking hay, you don't have much choice- you WILL tan whether you like it or not. Anyway,all the yard work was actually FUN and made me feel useful. Haha. And I was very happy because my cat recognized me. WOOOO!  Unlike last year, she
actually seemed to be happy to see me and started to purr every time I stroked her. Awww...

I find it difficult to concentrate on anything lately. Very frustrating.
Other than that, I'm probably going back to uni this year. Most likely going to study natural resources management. Applied hydrobiology was my first choice, but apparently my studies won't be state-funded then, because I didn't take a final exam in chemistry back in high school. Maybe I'll take the damn exam next year. Anyway... found this random video the other day: I guess this guy can fill in for Matt while he's in Montana, right? |

Feeling excited!!!!
Last night I saw Haggard for the second time and it was a gig full of nice things, Claudio looked extremely amazing and so hot  all the musicians looked great and well, the concert was really emotive specially the part when they play the Mexican national
anthem in Haggard's style, I almost cry!!!
Then have the chance to take some pictures with some of the guys!! Mexico loves Haggard as well as Haggard loves Mexico!!! Nice evening, now I can't feel my body, but my mind its full of great memories!!! |

Tonight it's the story of Buddy and the Toad!
Buddy has a barking fit in the back yard. We go out there to find a green toad the size of my hand and Buddy is nearly on top of it, barking at it. I had heard just yesterday a story of a dog that got a hold of a toad and died. So, I got him away from the toad, locked him in the house and chased the toad out of the yard. I went back in the house to find Buddy, shaking, breathing really hard and sticking his tongue in and out of his mouth really fast. So, I put him in the bathtub and held his mouth open washing off his nose and tongue, then called hte emergency clinic. They said to wash off his tongue and bring him in, not to wait. I did and they took his temperature and washed his mouth out again. We had to wait to make sure his temperature didn't go up. If it did, treatment would have to start. So, Buddy is okay, but the vet is calling tomorrow to give me a lesson on poisonous toads. She said it will be a 10-15 conversation. The emergency clinic was a sad place. People were crying, dogs crying, cats meowing, rabbits dying.. geese.. we were lucky. Pretty sure this is the toad never had a scorpion or a frog in the house before... it's biblical drama round here this week.

that damn toad found its way back into the yard again tonight. I have to get a wire trap tomorrow and trick the damn thing - then drive it far away and set it
loose. (hopefully).
